Terms and conditions

The short version: Clacky is yours to use and enjoy, purchases go through Apple, and the beta may have rough edges.

These terms are between you and Muhammad Raufan Yusup, based in Japan (“I” below). They cover the Clacky app, its keyboard and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms.

Using Clacky

You may use Clacky for your own personal use on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple’s rules allow. Please don’t copy, resell or reverse engineer it, except where the law or an open-source licence allows that. If you download Clacky from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and it takes priority if the two disagree.

Purchases

• Milk and Retro are free. Other designs are one-time purchases, sold one at a time or all together.
• Buying all includes any new designs I add, at no extra cost. I can’t promise there will be more.
• Paid designs need Allow Full Access to be on for the keyboard.
• Apple handles payment, and refunds are requested from Apple under its policies. Nothing here limits any refund rights you have by law.

The beta

The TestFlight beta is a test version. It may have bugs, change or stop working, and purchases in it aren’t real and may not carry over. TestFlight is also subject to Apple’s terms. Please don’t rely on the beta for anything important. If you send me feedback, I may use it to improve Clacky without owing you anything.

Ownership and open source

Clacky’s name, designs, sounds and code belong to me, apart from open-source parts, which are listed in the app under their own licences. Using Clacky doesn’t transfer any of those rights to you.

No guarantees

Clacky is provided “as is”. I work to keep it useful, but I can’t promise it will always work, be free of errors or stay available, and a future iOS update could affect it.

Liability

As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Clacky, and my total liability is limited to what you paid me for Clacky in the previous 12 months. This doesn’t limit any rights or liability that can’t be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer where you live.

Changes and ending

I may update these terms, and I’ll change this page and its date when I do. You can stop using Clacky at any time by deleting it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If you’re a consumer, you also keep any protections and rights to go to court that your home country’s law guarantees.
